‘Parks and Recreation’ season 6: Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, more celebrate 100 episodes
Is there a new “Parks and Recreation” airing tonight? Sadly, not. Rather than try to force a new episode of the show tonight and cause chaos in the scheduling world a little bit later on in the year, you can see the world of Pawnee, Indiana again next week at a new time (one that is thankfully not up against “The Big Bang Theory”): Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. Eastern.
There is an extra-special reason why this particular episode is going to be worth the wait: It’s the 100th one. Despite at times low ratings and some shake-ups when it comes to the cast, this show has found a way to persevere, and eventually evolve into one of the greatest comedies on TV. Not only is Amy Poehler amazing, but it has turned Nick Offerman into a star and helped more and more people discover how funny Aziz Ansari is.
In the video below, you can hear all three of them speaking out about what a 100 episodes of this show has meant to them, and how they all have some great moments that they look back on. Poehler in particular relates some of her favorite stories, and pinpoints moments (Ben’s engagement, the holiday episodes) that she especially loves more than some of the others. She also says that she hopes there will be another hundred episodes to come, which is very great news for us. However, we are unfortunately reminded again that we are near the end for both Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe, who are each leaving the show in order to pursue other things.
How stoked are you that “Parks and Recreation” made it to this achievement? Be sure to share your thoughts below.
