‘Sleepy Hollow’ spoilers: The biggest threat leading into finale

“Sleepy Hollow” has certainly had itself quite the thrill ride over the past several weeks in between starting things up with the arrival of Ichabod Crane, and then going down the rabbit hole of craziness from there. Over the course of the show’s run, we had the opportunity to see Ichabod and Abbie face off against multiple demons, learn that he had a son, and then learn just how far back the connection exists between these two characters.

Moving into the new year though, the biggest cause of unease is the warning from Moloch himself that Ichabod is going to deliver the soul of Abbie straight to him, and that is something that will be on everyone’s minds moving forward. As co-creator Roberto Orci tells TVLine, there will be a constant feeling of dread moving forward, as it is possible that many residents of the town could end up turning on each other and causing utter chaos:

“We’ve always said, the devil doesn’t win by coming into your room and murdering you. The devil wins by turning neighbor against neighbor. The fear that exists is Sleepy Hollow is finally coming to a climax, and the question is: Will the town destroy itself?” 

We have slowly started to see some of that build courtesy of the fracturing of the police force, and it will more than likely continue to get worse from here. Everyone has their own motivations and desires, and the devil, being the tricky and awful demon that he is, is going to be smart enough to know how to use much of that against the characters.
