‘Girls’ season 3 spoilers: News on Hannah and Adam; plus, guest stars!

Now that we are just ten days away from the launch of “Girls” season 3, there is at least a small amount of scoop that we have to share about some of the stories that are going to be coming up.

First of all, relationships! While Shoshanna is going to suddenly be in some sort of sex frenzy and Marnie is reeling from her latest breakup with Charlie (the departed Christopher Abbott), Lena Dunham tells Entertainment Weekly that we are actually going to be seeing Hannah and Adam try to make a real effort at making things work this time around. Their past relationships have often been mired in their own garbage, mostly because they have spent so much time forgetting that being together requires a little bit of a give-and-take.

We also have a few more details now about the lineup of guest stars that are going to be a part of the show moving forward. Andrew Rannells is going to join around midseason (likely thanks to his work on “The New Normal” making it hard to be in the early part of the season), and will be a series regular if the show gets renewed; Amy Schumer is also going to return, and you can also see Colin Quinn and Danielle Brooks of “Orange Is the New Black.” There is still nobody that is so insanely famous that they would not make sense in this world, and we’re still holding out hope that Donald Glover returns someday, mostly since he brought such an interesting energy to the show as a guy that Hannah didn’t want anything to do with just because of his political affiliation.

All in all, the makings are here for this to be a great season. It is just going to depend in the end on what some of the individual stories are.
