‘The Originals’ episode 10 spoilers: Joseph Morgan scoop from ‘The Casket Girls’

When “The Originals” returns on January 14 with new episodes, one of the first priorities looks to be trying to expand this show to a point where it is very much beyond just the story of the first family of vampires. Instead, it will be an opportunity to not only get into the action of this season, but also spend some more familiarizing yourself with some of the cast. Joseph Morgan’s Klaus still has a role to play, but over time it is becoming more and more clear that this is much more about the ensemble than just a solitary character with a desire to suck a little bit of blood.

In case you have missing some previous updates, this episode is entitled “The Casket Girls,” and most of the women in particular are going to have some significant roles to play. Just take a look at the synopsis below if you have a hankering for some more evidence:

“As the French Quarter prepares for its annual celebration of the Casket Girls Festival, Cami (Leah Pipes) suffers through as Davina (Danielle Campbell) attempts to free her of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) mind compulsion. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) form an unlikely alliance as Klaus sets his plan in motion to get Davina back. Once it’s known that Davina is missing, Sophie (Daniella Pineda) gets in on the hunt to track her down. Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is forced to make a tough decision after receiving an unexpected phone call, and Rebekah (Claire Holt) sets her own plan in motion when she enlists the help of someone from Marcel’s past.”

For any new series, we believe that the first episode after a hiatus is a very important one. After all, this marks an opportunity for you to really get things going again on the right foot after some time away, and show that you are learning from some of your mistakes and working on improving. This show has had a solid run so far, and we are hopeful that it will continue moving forward.
