‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10: Why Camilla Luddington believes in Alex, Jo

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 10 has been many things for many different characters so far, but for Alex and Jo there has really only been one way to describe it: Emotional. These two have been put through the wringer thanks to some of Alex’s personal baggage, including a tumultuous relationship with his father that has not gotten any better as he has started to spend time with him. Instead, it has only continued to crumble, and he seemed to make the decision during the fall finale that rather than to try and bring a man unwilling to change into his life, he would be happy with what he has.

Luckily, he does seem to have something great in a woman who cares deeply about him. As Camilla Luddington herself says in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, these two are a couple that really do have the capacity to go the distance together:

“In the past, Alex has felt the need to change for people and I think Jo has felt this too — the need to change for other people. They are perfect for each other already. There is nothing Alex has to do to change for Jo. She sees all of his imperfections and vice versa. I remember a producer telling me that they wanted to see what it would be like for Alex to meet Alex and I think that is what has happened. I think they are totally perfect for each other. Totally not perfect people but perfect together.”

As for what lies ahead for the two of them the rest of the season, it is likely just going to be them really starting to figure out how their life and their future will look together. We wouldn’t be shocked if they are the “Grey’s Anatomy” midseason wedding of 2014, mostly because we feel like the show has to be heading in that direction at some point before it ends. (We still hold on to the belief that there will be one more season after this one.)
