‘Nikita’ season 4, episode 5 video: Show boss teases last story before series finale
If there is a “Nikita” episode that you really cannot set your DVR for (mostly because it could get spoiled for you and ruin your entire weekend), it’s “Bubble.” Based on what executive producer Craig Silverstein says in the video below from The CW, this could be one of the best episodes that the show has produced to date.
Basically, the way to describe the story going into this episode is as follows: For the first time in years, it could start to feel like the metaphorical bubble that Nikita and some of the characters have been living in is starting to burst. The secrets of the Division are starting to come out, and it feels like normalcy could finally be returning to their lives from the safety of the military base.
But is the story really over? The promo for the episode here certainly makes you wonder, and Silverstein teases that one of the characters in Ryan will continue to express some concerns of his own that nothing is over yet. While everyone else starts to relax, he will remain more paranoid than ever. Sometimes, having a person this on edge can be a valuable commodity in the event that someone is really trying to get at you and potentially ruin you. However, at the same time they can be a major hindrance; if you look like you’re being suspicious, people are going to start to be suspicious of you in turn. This is something that the show and its characters are going to have to contend with for at least this episode, and possibly whatever comes afterwards in the series finale.
In the end, we’ll keep our message the same about the finale: We just want something that feels satisfying to the whole series, and ties up enough loose ends that we can picture the characters’ future in our mind.
