ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic – James Brolin scenes coming

The latest -Have you been hoping that someone else was going to be in on the secret regarding Richard Castle’s father? As it turns out, this is going to be one of the stories that the writers of “Castle” have planned for themselves going into the second half of this season, and it is not going to be a particularly happy visit from Jackson Hunt.

According to TV Guide, Beckett ends up working with the man for most of the January 13 episode before she learns from Castle just who he is, and this is somewhat troubling to Stana Katic’s character. Also, we find out per James Brolin that there are more complications to the Hunt role than we first saw, as we start to realize that one of the other reasons that he has kept himself away from his family so long is simply because he enjoys a certain part of what he does:

“I wanted viewers to find out how deadly he is. He gets a thrill out of terminating people who deserve it. The thrill is there, with no feeling of remorse … [Jackson] talks down to his son like he’s 5 years old, and is very attracted to Kate. That’s the kind of a–hole he is.”

As for Castle’s mother Martha, she’s also set to see Jackson in this episode for the first time in many, many years. Finally, a good story for her to play!

In some other news, the report also mentions that Ryan’s baby is going to come during the winter premiere on January 6 (we predicted it would come soon), and January 27 is going to be the episode where Beckett finds her wedding dress while diving into the world of high fashion. We know already that this is something that she has her own connections with courtesy of some modelling work she did back in high school.

As for the Castle – Beckett wedding, creator Andrew W. Marlowe is keeping quiet about when it will be. Based on his suggestion that he doesn’t want to reveal it until we’re closer to the date, we imagine that this is either a May sweeps event, or something saved for the next season.
