‘Masters of Sex’ season 2: What are we hoping to see?

Showtime had a sensational show on their hands with “Masters of Sex,” and following the completion of its first season on Sunday night, the question that we wonder is this: Where do we go from here?

The one sure thing is that there is no going back for Dr. Bill Masters, and there are going to be both good and bad things that come his way now as a result of some of his actions. He put himself out there, and his life will never be the same. But how quickly do you see the change happen from here? That is a calculated move on the producers’ part, given that you know eventually where this series is going to go, and you know ultimately what happens in his personal life.

The rest of the show moving forward is probably going to be about finding that balance when it comes to pacing, since William Masters real life was very different than the television show. So they have to find a way to keep things moving slowly enough so there is not a drastic change, but also not so slow that nothing happens. We also imagine that the writers have a desired ending for the story, and they will likely not just continue on when there is no interesting story left to tell.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens when “Masters of Sex” season 2 airs in the fall of 2014.
