‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, episode 10 preview: The fall finale, ’50 Shades of Grayson’
Are you ready for some sort of shocking developing on “The Vampire Diaries”? You’re going to see them and then some during “50 Shades of Grayson,” the possibly-epic midseason finale next week. Stefan is going to be angry (and for good reason), and there are a few other characters who are going to pay the consequence.
Before you do anything else, we feel like the synopsis below really does the best job at providing you a quality road map of some of the stories that you can expect to see unfold throughout the hour:
“Damon (Ian Somerhalder) realizes Elena (Nina Dobrev) is in danger and enlists Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) help to find her. The brothers pay a visit to Aaron (guest star Shaun Sipos), and Damon shocks Stefan by revealing his first-hand knowledge of Aaron’s family. In an attempt to stop Damon, Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) unleashes his secret weapon, forcing Damon to deal with a part of his past he thought was gone forever, as well as the consequences of his decades-long plan for revenge. Meanwhile, Elena is horrified by Dr. Wes’ confessions about the dark history of Whitmore College and his own ultimate goal. Finally, a frantic Katherine (Nina Dobrev) turns to Matt (Zach Roerig) for help, until she realizes that Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) may be the one who can solve her problem.”
But who is in the most danger of dying? Right now, we’d put Aaron at the top of the list, with Dr. Maxfield not that far behind. There is no way that both of them survive the end of the season at the rate in which things are going, but we see one death happening long before that. Stefan for now definitely feels like he could be the most-likely killer, mostly thanks to how he fields Elena ready to be “tested” … which could basically be another code word for “torture chamber.”
