‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11, episode 9 review: Alan meets his soulmate
This week’s episode of “Two and a Half Men” has set the stage for some pretty funny scenarios as far as the premise goes as Alan dates a woman that used to be a man, but will they actually be able to deliver on the laughs? It’s been pretty hit or miss this season when it comes to Alan’s storylines and we’ve favored episodes focusing Walden or new comer Jenny, but we are going into tonight’s episode with an open mind, so let’s see how it all unfolded.
Jenny decides to take Alan to a gay club to pick up women and he meets a woman named Paula that he clicks with. He brings her home and after sleeping together, Paula tells Alan that she used to be a man named Paul. We initially thought that Alan might be weird about the situation, but they have such a great connection that he decides to keep dating her. Paula quickly shows that she’s the alpha in the relationship, but Alan really doesn’t seem to have much problem with it.
Walden’s big story for the night was that he went out with a model that he didn’t have any connection with, but after she broke her leg falling off Walden’s beach house balcony (and also her nose falling off the couch), he feels obligated to help her. Once she realizes that Walden’s not going to sleep with her, she huffs out of the house and gets hit by a bus sending them back to the hospital once again.
We actually liked Alan’s story this week. It wasn’t all that funny, but it was really cool to see him have a connection with someone that isn’t a complete jerk and we hope to see more of the Paula character even though we are pretty sure that Lyndsey is endgame for Alan. Grade: C+

The Alan storyline was funny, the Walden story was OK.
