‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Heather Morris signs on officially for episode #100

It was not that long ago that we reported that Harry Shum Jr. was in for the 100th episode of “Glee“, but this is a story that is far too pressing to delay: Heather Morris has confirmed her participation in the 100th episode much to the delight of fans everywhere. Ryan Murphy confirmed the news in a post on Twitter, and it will be the first episode this season that she will appear in.

This was one actor that we really weren’t sure about coming back for the 100th episode given that Heather is a near-impossible person for the media to get a read on these days. She also just had a baby earlier this fall, so it was easy to think that she may not be ready to take part and is still in new mommy mode. But, in the end, she will be there in some capacity as Brittany S. Pierce; the only question up for debate is just how much we are going to see her, and whether that is good news for a larger return down the road.

Brittany is without a doubt one of the show’s more-popular characters, but she was written out last spring when she broke up with Sam and accepted an invitation to study at MIT, the perfect sort of redemption for her after the writers previously were criticized for having her flunk out of her senior year. This appearance is going to lead to all sorts of speculation regarding her relationship with Santana, and if this is something that could continue; but, Naya Rivera’s character is with Demi Lovato’s Dani for the time being, and while we haven’t really seen much of them, we have to assume that they are doing okay.
