Best of 2013: See the full list of categories, and prepare to vote for your favorites

It’s that time of the year again … and this time, we’re not talking about the holiday season. It’s time to begin voting for the Best of 2013 Awards! This is our annual way to look back at the year in TV, and honor a wide array of shows that are not always the ones traditionally honored at various awards shows.

In case you are new to this site we’ll explain the way in which our awards on the site are handled. Every day we’ll post a new category here on the site for you to vote on, and the results for all categories will be revealed come Friday, December 20.

As with last year, we’ll also be sharing our own personal picks for most of these categories (which include new ones in Best Showrunner, Most Surprising Moment, Most Memorable Performance on Competition Show, Best Fanbase, and Best of Daytime) come Friday, December 27, including our pick for the always-coveted Show of the Year title. Last year, the award went to “Game of Thrones,” and we feel this time around like it will be just about as competitive.
