‘Breaking Bad’s’ alternate ending puts Walter White in a Bob Newhart situation

Take a look -If you ask around, there is little questioning that “Breaking Bad” has one of the better endings in the history of TV dramas. There are the occasional naysayers out there, but compared to the reaction from “Dexter” and “Lost,” it’s fair to say that people seemed to actually genuinely enjoy this rather than them wanting to run in the opposite direction screaming in disdain.

So in the end, this is a show that really didn’t need to have an alternate ending … but we still got one anyway. Plus, it’s hilarious. In the hype that surrounded the series finale for the show, we imagine that you forgot about the news that broke about Bryan Cranston’s “Malcolm in the Middle” co-star Jane Kaczmarek flying to Albuquerque in order to do something for the show. Now, we know just what it was: The perfect homage to the role that really turned Bryan into a TV star on the rise.

The video below features Cranston and Kaczmarek in bed as their charactersw from the Fox sitcom, and it seems that Hal may have dreamed up the entire story of Walter White straight out of “Newhart.” There are some pretty great lines that come out of this, especially since both actors are surprisingly committed to roles that they have not played in so many years. It’s a nice little nod to days gone by, and if you are a major “Malcolm in the Middle” fan, we have a feeling that this could be one of the greatest videos that you’ve ever seen. It’s just another reason to pick up the upcoming Complete Series DVD set, just in case you were not motivated already by the fact that it comes in a giant barrell, which includes all five seasons and a Los Pollos Hermanos apron.

Is this everything that you were hoping for and then some? If you’re here to check out some great “Breaking Bad”-related videos, this is not the only thing that we have to offer you. Just click here to see a preview featuring Cranston and Aaron Paul on a David Blaine special, which is airing on ABC Tuesday night.
