ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3, episode 7 review: Did Emily lose an ally, and is Daniel cheating?
“Revenge” continues to bring surprise after surprise this week, and on Sunday night’s new episode, there were plenty of them. Not only did we see Victoria Grayson try to finally make a move that surprised Emily, but also a takedown of someone that the family had hired to tried to smooth things over.
We are talking here of course all about the PR agent that the Graysons had hired to smooth over all of their little family problems, and it was someone who had a sense of personal history with Nolan and his own past. This was a sort of personal issue for him, and one that he and Emily worked together to destroy. There is something rather epic still about seeing these two win, even in a way that we have seen on the show so many times before.
But moving forward, Emily may seemingly be without the services of Aiden Mathis, mostly because Emily sent him away, feeling as though she has everything that she needs in order to destroy Emily. And seemingly, she might courtesy of Sarah, the girl from Daniel’s past who could be the key to ending the wedding. Victoria finally realizes that pushing her towards Daniel is much more important than anything that she could have been doing to deliberately break him and Emily Thorne up.
Save for these stories, there was not really that much that transpired here unless you did appreciate getting to see Margeaux and Jack actually get closer. While it was nice to see Jack have a win and get another step closer to moving on with his life, let’s not sit here and pretend like it impacts what Emily has going on right now.
At least “Revenge” is firing on close to all cylinders now. The story is fast-paced and exciting, and the characters mostly all have something to do. A major step up still from season 2. Grade: B+.
