NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did Matthew Schuler, Will Champlin, and Jacquie Lee make top 12?
Who made “The Voice” top 12? While this really did not have to be a full hour long, that is what they chose to give us, anyway. There were some questionable performances from the teams, some predictable results, and then one or two shockers thrown in there, as well, as the coaches had to make the final choices. At least we can say that the voters got this right without even a second guess. (They also followed the iTunes charts also perfectly.)
Team Blake Shelton – The three artists advancing are Cole Vosbury, Austin Jenckes, and then Ray Boudreaux. He picked the latter one over Nic Hawk and Shelbie Z., which was probably an easy choice based on their low iTunes sales.
Team Cee Lo Green – Caroline Pennell and Jonny Grey felt like locks to make it through on the public vote. As for his choice, he loves Kat Robichaud and has since her first audition. There was no question that she’d be making it, as well, given that his other choices were abysmally-ranked on iTunes.
Team Christina Aguilera – Seeing both Jacquie Lee and Matthew Schuler saved by America were no-brainers, but then having Josh Logan also kept was a little bit of a shock. However, we almost feel like that third place is cannon fodder for now, since her other two may be two of the best in the entire competition.
Team Adam Levine – The two predictable saves were James Wolpert and Tessanne Chin, and this left Adam with a dilemma. Will was the right choice, and it’s the one that he made!
Out of these teams, who is the favorite to win? Right now, we see Jacquie and James as the two favorites based on sales, with Matthew right behind them. The one thing that is interesting is that while Cole and Austin are contenders, they need to step it up so that Blake Shelton has a chance of winning again, otherwise Team Blake might be done.

Although Caroline just missed cracking the Top 10 on the iTunes Top 200 Songs chart before the deadline, she made if after the deadline passed. Overall, Caroline is the best selling of all the contestants on iTunes — starting with the blind auditions through the live shows. She’s on the charts with multiple songs. That’s a feat Danielle Bradbery accomplished in Season 4. Caroline has to be a favorite among the Top 12.

Based on iTunes sales since the blind auditions, there wasn’t much in the way of surprises tonight. In no particular order, I’d put James, Caroline, Matthew, Jacquie and Tessanne in the Top 5. From here on out, song choice will be critically important for everyone. But, there’s likely no way Team Blake will win in S5.
