TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 spoilers: Meet new series regular Nicholas Trevino
“Dallas” season 3 has just picked up its latest new addition, and it is someone who will once again add a new dimension to the series. Are they going to cause trouble around Southfork Ranch? If you have to stop and think about that, then you may also want to ask yourself whether or not you are really getting this show.
Sources confirm that Juan Pablo Di Pace, currently the second most-famous Juan Pablo on TV when you remember that guy who is going to be the next man to take on “The Bachelor,” has been booked in the coveted and much-discussed role of Nicholas Trevino on the show. This is a guy who will be a risk-taker with a mysterious past, who also happens to be extremely sophisticated and intelligent to boot. There is obviously going to be a temptation for people to gravitate towards him, but what happens when they do, and they finally let their guard down? The issue of trust will be an interesting one to play with throughout this character’s stint on the show.
Di Pace will appear in a good chunk of the show’s 15-episode third season, with his future beyond that being as unclear as the show itself. “Dallas” is a program that really needs to find a way to get some more momentum going for itself in the new year, as it struggled at times to get viewers following the funeral for J.R. Ewing compared to some other programs on the TNT schedule. When you consider some of the shows that are coming up, including “The Last Ship” from Michael Bay and “Legend” from Howard Gordon (of “Homeland” fame), that pressure is only raised to yet another level.
But in the end, we’re excited about the casting, and appreciate that the producers seem to be working hard to move in some fresh faces to the show at a pretty quick pace following everything that transpired last year.
