‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Claire Danes and more trouble in ‘Still Positive’
Last week, “Homeland” season 3 sent audiences into a complete and utter tailspin courtesy of some of the madness that took place near the end of “Game On.” Basically, it was the show telling us that almost everything that we had seen to that point really did not matter.
But is some of that going to change in the near future? We at least think that the show is heading a little more in the right direction. For now, we are here with some details on “Still Positive,” which is going to be coming on the air next week. Claire Danes is going to get herself deeper and deeper into the thick of things in hopes of trying to figure out some more details on the Langley attack, and learning in the process just how difficult that is going to be.
This is going to be the midway episode of the season, and the issue that comes with that is that this is the episode that really needs to get the ball rolling towards what will be a crazy conclusion. We don’t want to see “Homeland” propel itself down the road of a former Showtime series in “Dexter,” which more often than not chose to just spend its time dragging its feet in the first six episodes, only to literally see things explode following that.
Also, let’s hope for a lot more Damian Lewis than we had in the first half of this season. While we appreciate the show focusing on the needs of the story first rather than just supporting a star who already has an Emmy to his name, we do want to see more of him while he’s still around.
