‘The X Factor’ UK results: Did Miss Dynamix, Abi Alton, or Kingsland Road fall to Flash Vote?
Last week at this time, the sinister beast known as “The X Factor” UK flash vote reared its ugly head for the first time, and we saw the stunning news that Kingsland Road were in the bottom two. Nobody saw this coming, but they were able to survive over Shelley Smith thanks to a vote from Louis Walsh.
At the time, it felt like this was the right move, since there was no way that Shelley, after two straight poor outings with the voters, was going to suddenly win the competition. Kingsland Road has a little bit of a better shot … maybe. They still had to make it through the Flash Vote tonight. If we were to pick the act most likely to be in danger, it would be Miss Dynamix. Not only was their performance pretty awful, but Sharon Osbourne has turned one of them into a clicking parlor trick, and we’re really not that sure that the ladies even get along that well. Also, we would say that Sam Callahan or even Abi Alton would be more likely to face the red lights of doom.
The first group saved tonight was the girls (somewhat of a surprise thanks to Abi), and then the Overs (hooray for Sam Bailey!). It was between the boys and the groups, which meant that Gary Barlow had to deal yet again with one of his acts losing the Flash Vote again. Ugh. If it was Rough Copy, we would expect some sort of mass internet revolt.
But in the end, you probably saw this one coming a mile away. Miss Dynamix is not very good, and the voters also probably felt slighted that they were given a pass to the next round in the first place. We don’t really see any act left in the competition that they are actually going to be able to beat.
