‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 4 preview: More on the Black Canary; Stephen Amell plays surprised
On tonight’s “Arrow” season 2 episode, you saw a little bit of everything, whether it be the appearance of the Dollmaker, some more insight into Black Canary, and also a tale that brought plenty of screen time for the Detective Lance character, which we were personally very excited to see since he has always been one of the better characters on the show.
On next week’s new episode “Crucible,” we’re going to have an opportunity to see the arrival of some new characters, some more work with the Canary, and also some sort of story that will revolve around Diggle. Take a look at the full synopsis below:
“Oliver (Stephen Amell) discovers a man who goes by the name “The Mayor” (guest star Cle Bennett) is bringing illegal guns in to The Glades, so Oliver sponsors a “Cash for Guns” event to help clean up the city. Unfortunately, The Mayor crashes the event with his gang and seriously injures Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus). The Canary (Caity Lotz) is furious when she learns her friend is in the hospital and sets out for revenge. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) stuns Oliver with a bit of information about the Canary, Donner (guest star Dylan Bruce) asks Laurel (Katie Cassidy) to dinner, and Diggle (David Ramsey) reconnects with an old friend.”
There is one important name in this synopsis that is especially worth noting, and that is Bex Taylor-Klaus. This is an actress that completely dominated most of “The Killing’s” stellar third season as Bullet, the troubled youth who was tragically (spoiler alert!) killed off near the end as Linden and Holder closed the investigation. Let’s just hope for a story this time around that has a little bit of a better ending to it.
As for “Arrow” as a whole, this season is great, and it feels like an action-packed, crowd-pleasing version of a Saturday-morning superhero cartoon. It’s basically what hero fans have been waiting for for quite some time.
