‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 5 preview: Red John suspect Ray Haffner returns

Take a look -Just in case that you did not believe already that “The Mentalist” was getting set to increase the tension yet again for the Red John investigation, we have a story like the one coming next week. Not only is this going to take the drama to another level, but by the time the hour is over we should have a pretty good path laid out bringing us near the end of the journey.

One of the members of the Red John suspect list in Ray Haffner is going to be back, and rather than being a boss of Simon Baker’s Patrick Jane this time around, he is going to “assist” on a case. As for whether or not this is a good thing, we are going to see … if he is the classic villain, he is much more likely to get in the way and cause a massive problem for everyone he can.

The name for this episode is entitled “Red Tattoo,” and the presence of Visualize itself is something that Jane has to take note of given the group’s already-established tie to his longtime investigation. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“When a prominent member of Visualize is mysteriously killed, Jane investigates in the hopes that the case will provide a clue that will lead him to Red John.”

At this point we are very much interested in just seeing this case resolved, especially since there is another interesting development that we can’t wait to see more of: Jane and Lisbon. Can these two finally get together once this case is resolved? That could at least become more of a possibility a few months from now, when Jane is able to look both at this and the world with a much clearer head.
