‘Homeland’ season 3, episode 5 preview: First details, video on ‘The Yoga Play’
If you thought that “Homeland” season 3 was intense already, be prepared for the ride of your life with “The Yoga Play.” This is going to be a particularly heavy episode that should bring us some things that we have been hoping to see. Carrie Mathison is starting to get a little bit of her mojo back, and this to us really means one thing above all else: Danger for anyone who ends up becoming an enemy to her, and that includes her recent adversary in Saul.
Carrie, of course, is also a risk-taker, so when you read the official synopsis for “The Yoga Play” that she “puts her mission on the line,” you really know that this has to mean something.
Meanwhile, Saul’s own story is going to get him more and more involved with his past, and that is something that we are beyond excited to see. When you think for a minute about just how long this man has been involved with the CIA, you know that there are so many layers there that we are still in the process of learning about him. He already has proven when it comes to Carrie that he is willing to turn his back on her when it benefits the greater good.
To us, there is no question that “Homeland” has been polarizing this season, and this is the opportunity for them to really turn that around. Let’s just hope that they will be able to, and establish this once again as the smash hit that it was once perceived to be. With “Breaking Bad” over, the title of “best on TV” is still up there for the taking.
