‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 5 preview: How Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith returns
Tonight’s “Grey’s Anatomy” celebrated its 200th episode with “Puttin’ On a Ritz,” an hour that certainly brought us a very different side of what we typically see from some of our favorite doctors and surgeons. But what comes next on the show? An episode entitled “I Bet It Stung” that is going to be quite a bit about transition. We have Meredith trying to get her way into being back at the hospital while still raising her children, and some relationships that are trying to go to the next level. Jackson and Stephanie are going to try and make things work, for example, but who knows if that is actually going to work in the end?
Before we do anything else, let’s start things off here by sharing the official synopsis from the episode:
“Meredith jumps back into work but finds it hard to excel at both motherhood and Being a surgeon. Stephanie tries to make a good impression on Jackson’s mom, and Jo finds herself overly involved with her new patient. Meanwhile, Callie and Owen deal with an emotional situation regarding a patient.”
Meanwhile, the promo below certainly makes it look like the biggest stumbling block ahead for Meredith is actually going to be something (or someone) that you probably did not see coming here in any shape or form: Cristina. The two are going to face off over who is the best person to perform a procedure, with Cristina insisting that she is better in the operating room. While this may or may not be the case, what we can say for now is just that there will be trouble.
What do you want to see on “Grey’s Anatomy” next week? As per always, we want to hear your thoughts below! Meanwhile, check out the link here if you’re curious in seeing a little more news all about tonight’s new episode.

I want to see Arizona start to understand herself more and perhaps gain some maturity. She needs to figure out why she flipped out and got so very depressed and angry at losing her leg — and how she was depending on being able to blame Callie for everything without Callie ever leaving her. She also needs to figure out why she cheated on Callie, whether she really wants to get back together. Only then will she be able to move forward in a meaningful way with her marriage or leave it. Or maybe I just want the writers to explain a bit about this character.
