‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ promotion blows up thanks to Ginnifer Goodwin, bad timing
Whenever you watch a show these days (especially on a major network), you surely notice that from time to time, little promotions like to intrude on your good time courtesy of some graphics that pop up on the bottom of the screen. But at the end of the day, we have to say that the vast majority of them do not end with the White Rabbit creating a rabbit hole in a most unfortunate spot.
In what has to be the most hilariously awful case of bad timing that we have seen pretty much ever, someone on Instagram captured last night a brief graphic that popped up for “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” during Sunday night’s episode for the flagship series, with the biggest twist being where it popped up on Ginnifer Goodwin’s body along with when. It may be the perfect example of not only something happening in the wrong place, but also at the wrong time. Just watch it below. You’ll probably laugh, unless you are a prude. (The fact that Snow White is “searching for something powerful to vanquish the Queen” right before it happens makes this all the more cringe-worthy.)
While we are sure that someone over on Snopes.com is going to add this to the list of Disney-related urban legends and conspiracy theories soon enough, for now all the show’s producers can really do about it is laugh and try to move on. Adam Horowitz has already acknowledged it on Twitter as a “big mistake,” even though it may ironically be the best press ever for the spin-off show. Given the sort of competition ABC has on Thursday night for “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” sometimes you have to take what you can get … even when that includes a rabbit circling someone’s crotch.
What do you think: Does this help / hurt the show’s chances of being a hit? Is it hilarious regardless? Share below.
