‘Shark Tank’ preview: Fairytale Wishes and an Echo Valley Meats update
Tomorrow night’s “Shark Tank” looks to bring you a healthy combination of everything, from the snazzy to the silly. You’re also going to get an opportunity to see where one of the products that did not get a deal last season has managed to go on with its business over the past several months.
As you can see below, this product is Echo Valley Meats. One of the major problems with the business was simple: Specialty meat stores are very difficult to break into the national forefront especially when there are so many of them already out there. Go ahead and read the full synopsis:
“Sharks Kevin O’Leary and Robert Herjavec team up to battle Mark Cuban over a deal, and the Sharks are dazzled by the charm and beauty of two young women with an unbelievable pitch: A mom from Highland Park, Illinois, has a line of aromatherapy sprays to help children with fears of the dark, nightmares and monsters; two firefighters from Austin, Texas, invent an ultra-lightweight carrier-to-carrier for tired tots who need a piggyback from a parent; two beautiful, young women from Los Angeles have a low-tech answer to protecting hair from smelly cooking fumes; and a Sacramento man sells a special cooking tray for ramen noodle lovers worldwide. Also, an update on Dave Alwan’s Echo Valley Meats from Bartonsville, Illinois.”
While some details about the products are hard to come by, we do at least want to spend a moment talking about two that are interesting for completely different reasons.
1. Fairytale Wishes – An interesting idea, and it is the aromatherapy one described above. We really do not know enough about aromatherapy to sit here with a straight face and say that we’re an advocate, but this business has been around for a while and won plenty of awards. Therefore, it’s easy to have confidence in it working to a certain degree.
2. Kookn’ Kap – We don’t really get the need for a brand-new version of a chef’s hat, given that we actually think the old one looks cooler than this one … even if this makes your hair not smell like fish and other substances. Even as a frequent cook, we’re not fans just of the look alone.
