ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: What will ‘confuse’ Stana Katic’s Beckett

Is Kate Beckett thrilled to be working for the United States Government? You better believe it. Even though she and Castle are now engaged, she decided during the “Castle” premiere to take the opportunity to become a federal agent in Washington and take on much more substantial cases than she ever has before.

However, it is not going to take her much time at all to realize that there is much more to being an agent than she initially realized, and it includes more than just living in a different part of the country. There is a non-stop schedule and a veil of secrecy surrounding everything that she does, and this may help to explain what Lisa Edelstein, who plays her new partner McCord, had to say to TV Guide about what Beckett is currently going through:

“She’s really excited and challenged by the opportunity, but I think there are elements of the opportunity that aren’t what she expected. Those create a lot of confusion for her.”

The questions that we are probably going to be seeing Beckett ask herself as a result of this career are pretty simple: While she may be enjoying what comes with this new career, is it the sort of career that she really wants? There will be a few episodes in which she will try to figure this out, and you will probably know by the end of the fall whether or not this move to Washington is permanent, or if she is going to be back in New York City with some of the other characters that we’ve come to know so well.
