‘American Horror Story: Coven’ teaser: Apparently, these witches are everywhere

Take a look -For whatever reason, “American Horror Story: Coven” seems to be incredibly fond of giving us as many different shots as possible of witches. We’ve seen them enter a house, wander down streets, and even greet the extremely creepy Fiona (Jessica Lange); but in the latest promo for the FX hit, these women are almost literally everywhere. They are in the city, in the swamp, and almost any and all locations in between. Just watching this almost feels like you are playing a game of “Green Eggs and Ham” with witches instead of Sam I Am.

Is it still creepy? Definitely, but we see this promo as more intriguing than frightening. Nothing that we’ve seen in the promotional material this year suggests that we are in for a season that brings the horror as much as the first two, but if the story is still fantastic, than we really don’t have much of a problem with that at all. The cast is phenomenal this year, and we always appreciate the opportunity to see New Orleans as a television setting.

The only unfortunate thing about this promo is that we’re missing a couple of the more-interesting little “characters” that we have come to know already via some of these promos. There is no sight in here of Cow-Person (who is the focus of this poster), and there is also a serious lack of levitation. Oh well: At least we still have a series very much worth looking forward to. While it may come on against a million other shows, this still at least has DVR status attached to it.

If you want to watch another promo, Lange teaches a few “lessons” in the one here. Given FX’s habit of releasing a near-constant stream of these, we imagine that we are going to have more to share soon. Stay tuned.
