NBC’s ‘Community’ season 5 spoilers: More returning characters … and music
Do you love your music mixed with your “Community”? Given that we absolutely loved season 3’s delirious “Glee” spoof featuring an appearance from an extremely-psychotic version of Taran Killam, we are always down to see a little bit more of a song-and-dance on the show in the future.
According to a new report from E! News, what we can at least tell you right now is that we are going to see the arrival of Shirley’s kids in the fifth episode of the season, and that there is also going to be some sort of singing involved. What could it be about? This is of course a mystery, but what we would say for the time being is that this is going to be the episode that also features the farewell to Donald Glover’s character of Troy based what Dan Harmon has said already on the subject.
What we’ve learned already about the first five episodes of the season, is that we are going to see quite a few crazy things. Jonathan Banks from “Breaking Bad” has a huge arc as a likely-terrifying professor, while we are also set to see the return of John Oliver’s Ian Duncan for a sizable chunk of the 13 episodes. Even LeVar Burton, best known for sending Troy into a panic during the hospital episode, is going to make some sort of return appearance. All in all, it feels like Harmon is really trying to push the envelope and give us a little bit of the old “Community” that we loved, along with something new.
Now, the only thing that could make all of this news better would be to hear an actual release date for the new season, but NBC is waiting to see how all of the new shows do before making any sort of commitment.
