‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: First photo of Tim Gunn’s return

Are you ready for the premiere of “How I Met Your Mother” to finally arrive? We know that we are. It’s been quite the long time coming ever since we first saw the mother for the first time, and there is therefore quite a bit to look forward to in between getting to know her better, and seeing what other sort of crazy exploits are coming up for the cast.

Well, the photo below shows off what could be one of the more entertaining times for the show, and it is featuring a surprise guest to go along with it: Tim Gunn. The “Project Runway” co-host is going to be making another cameo appearance on the show, but there is no word on why he is going to be drinking and/or playing cards with Ted.

Gunn’s appearance will come in the episode entitled “The Broken Code,” which will become one of the more traumatic ones of the season. Why? It is the installment where Barney finds out that Ted still has some feelings for Robin, which is a serious violation of the bro code that he holds so dear. What is interesting is that we have seen some very ridiculous conflicts at the moment between these two guys, but few that hold the same sort of serious consequences as this one. There are going to be reasons for emotion, and the major question is just how they will handle the conflict and try to move forward.
