‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: Gabriel Macht’s real-life father cast as…
How is this for a little bit of a twist in the world of “Suits”? Earlier this year during that fantastic flashback episode, we had an opportunity to meet the father of Harvey Specter. Now, we are getting the opportunity to see the real-life father of Gabriel Macht in a completely different role.
According to TVLine, veteran actor Stephen Macht has signed on to appear in multiple episodes of the final part of season 3 as Professor Gerard, a man who has quite the history with the famous Pearson Specter attorney. He is a rigid instructor at Harvard Law School, and just based on this description alone it’s not hard to imagine the thought of these two very different characters clashing.
For more on that, just take a look at what executive producer Aaron Korsh said to the website:
“He plays an integral role in one of the through-line storylines in the back 6 [episodes]. He does not have a positive history with Harvey Specter. They have a conflictual scene.”
We imagine that for Macht father and son, these have got to be some interesting scenes to play. Basically, they will be fighting with each other, and then hopefully smiling and laughing when the scenes are over. It definitely brings a more familial atmosphere to the set, if nothing else. The idea of having a father and son being both TV actors is rare and interesting in itself, but having them both appear on the same show together? That is what ratchets this up to “crazy” levels.
Do you find this casting as interesting as we do? Take a look here if you want to see a video preview of what is coming up next on “Suits.” Here’s a hint: It is very bad news for Mike Ross. “Suits” will be back on the air January of next year.
