‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Twilight’ alum to play Rosita Espinosa

The Walking Dead -The season 4 cast of “The Walking Dead” continues to expand, and this time around, they are bringing in someone who should know genre television rather well already.

According to Deadline, Christian Serratos, who was involved in the “Twilight” franchise, is going to recur throughout the fourth season of the show as Rosita Espinosa, a tough survivor of the zombie apocalypse who first appears a few dozen comics into the Robert Kirkman series.

What is clearly going to be interesting to many fans of the show is seeing whether or not Rosita appears with anyone else on the show, namely either Eugene or Abraham. At one point, the latter was rumored to be joining the show under the code name of “Roy Stark.” However, that casting instead ended up being for the character of Bob, played by Lawrence Gilliard Jr. this season.

If Serratos and the character impress on the show, there is an option for her to become a regular for a fifth season that everyone under the sun assumes is going to happen. While many shows on AMC seem to be creeping up towards an inevitable end date at this point, “The Walking Dead” instead continues to just keep chugging along. The show will hopefully have quite a bit of life left in it (pun intended), and with there being so much material still out there from Kirkman’s work, that is certainly going to help matters along.

This news comes the same day that AMC announced that they are planning a “Walking Dead” companion series to air next year, which is something that we are admittedly worried about when it comes to burning out the original series.
