‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: ‘Dexter’s’ James Remar to officially play…

For those of you waiting to have some confirmation as to who James Remar is going to play on “Grey’s Anatomy” season 10, we now have what is a pretty-close-to-official answer for you. However, we caution you now to stop reading if you want to avoid potential spoilers.

According to a recently-updated piece from TVLine, Remar will be taking on the part of Alex’s estranged father in an important story arc this year. This is something that many longtime fans have been waiting to see addressed, and now that another loose end from Alex’s life (in what is going on with him romantically) is starting to be tied up courtesy of his relationship with Jo, it looks like he can start to move on to some other things.

Having all of this storytelling happen for Alex now is something that both we and Justin Chambers are excited about. It felt for many years like he was in a holding pattern, almost having to wait his turn while some other major stories for some other characters were tied together. But now, things have started to change, and we are in a position really where every person in the ensemble has something going on. Meredith and Derek are parents again, Bailey is starting to get her mojo back, Cristina and Owen are moving on, Webber may or may not survive, Callie and Arizona are sinking, and you have April and Jackson trying to figure out where their relationship is today. You get our drift: There are already many storylines set in place before the September 26 premiere even airs.
