ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3: See Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn in rainy promo photos

For a network that has at times dwelled on planet cheese when it comes to creating some promotional photos, we have to say that ABC and the “Scandal” producers did a great job with coming up with some of the individual shots for season 3. They are different, high-quality, and most important, don’t feel like a Photoshop job or they are just trying to put out the same photos as in years past, but only in a different form.

Obviously, the biggest example of the show doing a good job is courtesy of the photo of Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope, mostly because it is exactly what you would expect. There is an all-white outfit, and the fact that the photo is slightly skewed also seems representative in some way of how her entire world is skewed.

As for some of the other photos, you can see the full collection below; but if we are talking about one that stands out in particular above all the rest, we have to give some major props to the shot of Tony Goldwyn as Fitz. Just in the way in which he holds his head down, you can feel it almost raining all over his world. It’s a sad but effective portrait of a man that is bizarre, broken and basting at the same time.

As for whether or not there is any further significant to the rain, such as the entire cast getting caught in a rainstorm sometime soon, that seems unlikely. These images are mostly just here to give you a cool way to look forward to the show.
