ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3: See Kerry Washington, more in cast photo

ABC has just unveiled their first cast photo for “Scandal” season 3, and we have to start this off by giving some pretty significant credit to the folks over at ABC. Why is that? They managed to make these images into something beautiful, and not just a predictable show of the cast standing in the room as they did for the show’s second-season photos.

This image (first posted by TVLine) gives you a fantastic panoramic this year of the key players, but more than just that, it presents all of them in a way that is actually scandalous. They are surrounded by newspaper clippings, which you could very well believe to be a sort of laundry list of all of their various exploits. Olivia Pope is situated at the far right rather than the front and center, but it is still clear based on her placement that she is the one that you really should be paying attention to here. Also notable? She is not dressed all in white.

Olivia starting out is going to be in for a pretty miserable season, as she has to try and deal with the fact that the world now knows about her affair with Fitz. Just to make matters even worse for herself, there is also the not-so-little problem known as her father being back on the scene. Expect plenty of juicy stories here as we start to learn more about Olivia’s past.
