‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ castaway spotlight: Kat Edorsson
While you can argue that there are other castaways from “Survivor: One World” that you would rather see than Kat Edorsson, we really don’t have any problem with her coming back. While she was not always the best player on her season, she was very entertaining, and it’s always nice to get someone back who you know is going to give great confessionals and is desperate to try and improve herself. We won’t even say that she was just brought on because her boyfriend is “Big Brother” winner Hayden Moss.
But does any of this mean that she is going to perform well this season on “Survivor: Blood vs. Water“? Hardly. While she is competent in challenges and pretty loyal as far as alliances go, she has a few major hindrances that are going to slow her down in this game big-time.
Basic details – Kat Edorsson, 23 years old from Orlando; here with boyfriend Hayden Moss
Occupation – Student
Claim to fame – Being the often volatile member of the young ladies’ alliance on “Survivor: One World,” and helping to orchestrate big moves in the game. She was completely blindsided upon her elimination, and cried openly the moment she realized that she was voted out.
Strengths – Kat will at least be someone you want on your tribe for her dedication. She doesn’t give up, and she has been committed to coming and and playing again almost the moment she was voted out the first time. Also, she seems to be well aware that most of her faults the first time around revolved around her being naive and trusting people who really could care less about her within the context of the game.
Weaknesses – While she may be loyal, Kat also brings drama, craziness, and a sense of annoyance to the game, or at least she did the first time around. She is not someone who can shy away from being involved or being at least one of the centers of attention. She also has a history of clashing with older castaways, which is not good for this season given that she is the youngest woman on her tribe.
Prediction – Kat’s probably not going to be around long. She was helped last time by having that alliance, and it was basically admitted that she would have not been a part of it had it not been formed on the very first day. With Tina, Monica, and Laura all being a part of the returning players’ tribe, we would not be shocked to see these three work together. This makes her and Candice the odd women out, and Candice is a little bit more level-headed. Unless Hayden replaces her at Redemption Island, she is in trouble.
