‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: First look at ‘Last Time in New York’

While the one-hour premiere of “How I Met Your Mother” season 9 is going to focus on Ted in relation to his feelings for Robin, the third episode of the season looks to be a little bit more comedic, and not so much focused only on Josh Radnor’s character being pathetic. This episode (airing on September 30) is entitled “Last Time in New York,” and was originally going to be the fourth this season before being swapped out with “The Broken Code.”

Before we get into any of the cast appearing this week, let’s start things off here with the synopsis below straight from CBS:

“When Lily discovers Ted’s list of things he wants to do in New York before he moves for Chicago, she becomes frustrated that she is the only person who knows about his plans. Meanwhile, Robin and Barney realize they have very little time together before their relatives arrive for their wedding.”

As for what family will already be around for this episode, get ready to see more of Wayne Brady’s James one episode after revealing that he and his husband are in the process of a divorce. Meanwhile, Sherri Shepherd is also going to be back around as Daphne, one of the most mysterious characters of the year so far. All we really know about her is that she and Marshall are going to be spending a lot of time together, and it all stems from the two meeting while he attempts to get back to New York City from Minnesota in time for Barney and Robin’s wedding.
