‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Cote de Pablo’s exit and more teased in longer promo
A week after releasing their first promo for “NCIS” season 11, CBS has decided to give us yet another taste of just what we can expect from the show when it premieres on Tuesday, September 24. It is going to be an emotional return without a doubt, as there is one event that will create major headlines over the first two episodes: The exit of Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David. You already know this, and are now just left to wonder how CBS plans to wrap this story up, and send the character off in a way that feels appropriate, and still leaves the door open for her coming back in the future.
A good thirty seconds of this promo is identical to what you saw in the first one, but there is a little bit more footage in here surrounding Tony’s search for her, and the stunning news that she is the next target to be killed. For example, McGee has more of a role, and Abby promises herself that she is going to solve this case, feeling as though she would never forgive herself if she let anything happen to the people that she loves.
The end result of this clip is the same as the original: More emotion and tears, and yet another reminder that this is not going to be an easy character to say goodbye to, even though we are confident that there are still going to be some interesting stories moving through to the rest of the season. Whenever you are the most-watched show on TV, there is always pressure … regardless of whether or not you have a major change happening in your cast.
One thing that you can look forward to later on this season? The 250th episode, which boss Gary Glasberg talks about here. The season premiere of “NCIS” will air on Tuesday, September 24 on CBS.
