‘The Walking Dead’ season 4: Take a look behind the scenes with Robert Kirkman

The Walking Dead -While “The Walking Dead” may not be back on your television sets until Sunday, October 13, why not take advantage of the opportunity now to get a better sense as to what this world is really like behind the scenes? We may know it mostly as the prison, but the Georgia set is actually so expansive, it really does feel almost like a post-apocalyptic environment even while watching comic creator Robert Kirkman walking through it.

There are a number of highlights in the video below, but something that we appreciated from the video, and we are thoroughly excited to see on season 4, is the opportunity to actually check out how some of these survivors are going to try and turn the prison into a real, sustainable home. There are going to be crops, some livestock, and other “luxuries” (if you can call them that) to try and make this place feel somewhat like a perfect society to keep on living in the midst of such terrible things on the outside.

Of course, there are also plenty of ways to defend yourself, including an impressive array of weapons that Kirkman shows off. While this whole society here for the characters is pretty exciting to see, it is also in a word very dangerous. Why? Let’s just say that you are constantly running the risk of losing everything in the event that a zombie invasion happens, and putting down roots means that you are capable of losing so much more that you have fought for. (With that being said, we understand the characters’ interest in doing so right now.)

What part of this video interests you the most? In case you had not heard the big news yet about David Morrissey and his new AMC pilot, check it out here. We’ll be back with more news soon!
