‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Cote de Pablo’s Ziva absent from premiere synopsis
While we have heard that the second episode of “NCIS” season 11, and her final one of the show, is going to be a little bit heavier in the way of details about Cote de Pablo’s Ziva, we are still somewhat surprised to see that CBS is not even mentioning the character in the official synopsis from the premiere. This episode is one that has kept everyone eagerly waiting for some news for a while, but it seems as though most of the focus (at least on the surface) will be more about Gibbs, DiNozzo, and McGee, as they try to unravel everything that we saw in the flash-forward at the end of last season.
In case you have not heard, this episode is entitled “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” and will air on Tuesday, September 24:
“An explosion at a D.C. event that results in a casualty connected to the agency changes Parsons’ perspective on Gibbs and the NCIS team. Meanwhile, without badges, DiNozzo and McGee investigate the case as civilians, despite the case’s dangerous ties to each of them”
Now, we should note first of all that Cote’s name is still listed on the CBS press release for the episode (along with returning guest star Colin Hanks), and so we are assuming Ziva as a part of the story. Our assumption is that in order to get to the point where we understand just why she could be leaving the team, we have some other things to get through first. This will probably be what the premiere episode is ultimately about.
What are you the most excited to see in the season premiere? Take a look here if you want to see an array of upcoming episode titles for the show, and we as always want to hear some of your thoughts below.

I have been watching this show for 10 years. I caught it the night it premiered when I was 17 and bored one evening with nothing to do. All it took was that pilot episode and I’ve never missed an episode since. Going into Season 11 I am excited and apprehensive at the same time. Apprehensive because I feel as an audience we have grown comfortable these last 8 years with the current dynamic and the idea of change is always a bit unsettling. With Kate we didn’t see it coming but with Ziva we see it coming and I think that makes it a bit harder. We have also had Ziva on the show a lot longer than we did Kate. But going into the 11th season its high time to bring in some fresh blood and shake things up a bit. And that is exciting. When Kate was shot we didn’t see it coming and I firmly believe that 1 moment that one unexpected scene is what set this show apart and it really took off after that. Its had its ups and downs over the last 8 years but its managed to become and remain Televisions number 1 drama. Especially with the excellent cast. I’m sad to see Ziva go, and I hope they give the character the kind of send off that she deserves…that lives up to and fits this particular character. But I am super excited to see what happens next.

I feel like Ziva’s story is not over and her character will be greatly missed. She has been a part of the show way too long not to notice she is gone. I will miss her a lot!!!

This all is to easy. To say i believe in director, one actor leave and finished let us look what happend. A 10 year show with a lot viewers in states or outside states is a part of tv history. And then it’s not only how much money i can make. Here must be also make care on all what actors belong. What with Cote was done is not ok and nothing to do what this big family meaning is. And for all who read clear what written and say, it is clear that in this case nothing is clear. And when i compare one person Cote with the big institution CBS, then i don’t have no doubt in Cote. And if nothing changed, all what CBS is will be blocked on my systems.

Oh my gosh I could not have said better myself than Anne did. I will miss Cote but the show will go on. All I can say is I wish her the best in what ever she decides she wants to do.

I bet she wants children from her live in boyfriend , and that can’t happen on NCIS as she is single ! Or in these days , could it?

Cote de Pablo departure may be a surprise gift for the shows fans if one event can occur. NCIS has yet to let a female character leave the show in a body bag remember Sasha Alexander, Lauren Holly to name but two could be why De Pablo one reason for leaving. When you die in Primetime your dead in Primetime and your career like Alexander’s took fiver years to find a new series but notice it was on cable. The cast of NCIS should be wary for few series survive well in syndication when major characters are slaughtered and shot to death in season finallies. Oh Pauly, can you hear the writers reloading for you.

NCIS is still a good show, no question. And there are a lot of fans of all actors. I think thats for Cote to come back as guest, is not what she is and under her value. Shure i will be happy to see her again. But then she will be, like we say in germany “fifth wheel on car”

Sorry to say this…but the show didn’t start when Ziva (de Pablo) came, and it doesn’t need to end when she leaves. Gibbs (Harmon) is still the leading man, and he does a fine job at it. If something were to happen to him, then yeah. Maybe we would be justified in not watching. However, while Ziva is a great addition and an awesome character (and de Pablo portrays her extremely well), her time with NCIS (the show and the agency) seems to be done. It happens. Those who say that they are die hard fans but decide to stop watching because she is leaving are either speaking from shock/anger (like I at one point did) or just don’t see the point of the whole show. They’ll have her story wrap up well, and I’m sure they will bring her back for episodes in the future.
On the bright side…they are NOT killing her off. That would be cruel. Because we are waaaay to attached to her to watch her die. Even though at some points in the past 8 years, we have gotten close. I’m excited for season 11 and I think it’ll be something new, fresh, exciting, and definitely shocking.

I’m very upset with this twist however, I’ve been a fan from day one and I will be until mark harmon is gone. In my opinion Gibbs is the crucial part of the team. I am truly a fan of ziva david however, I believe she will go on to bigger and better projects from here. So long as we still have gibbs I’ll be watching.

Love the show but it won’t be the same without her. The team is a family and a tight one at that. Ziva’s relationships with Gibbs and Dinozzo are something special. Really bummed out she’ll be gone but I’ll still watch the series.

My parents and I enjoyed watching Ziva for 8 years on NCIS. We will miss her a lot. We will still watch NCIS because it takes more than one person to make a show. I have been watching NCIS for a long time now. We were sad when Kate left the show but they replaced kate with ziva then we have the replacement for ziva now.

Wow!! I’m glad I came back to NCIS after they killed off Kate!! I almost didn’t. NCIS is a smart show, Not watching it, is a close minded, idiotic response!! Why not wait and watch first, and then if you hate it, you can stomp your feet and stop watching..?

August 29, 2013 @ 12:21 pm
Because these are mostly fans who only watch because of ziva or that idiotic romance and since they aren’t getting every nauseating detail played out scene by scene, they are all stomping their feet like children who need a nap

I am a huge fan of TIVA and hope that something comes out of it but I won’t stop watching it if it does or doesn’t happen. I have been a fan since the beginning and I am not giving up just because “Ziva” is leaving.

Glad to hear that, Ashley!! There are many, unfortunately, who are stomping their feet in a juvenile type temper tantrum because they didn’t get the romance they wanted spelled out in minute detail and are now hoping that AoS kicks NCIS’s butt ratings wise

I will continue to watch NCIS. Loved Cote’s portrayal of Ziva, but this show is number 1 for a reason. And that reason is not just one character or actor. From what I’ve read, this season should be exciting and fun in many ways. Those who will not watch because of Cote’s (Ziva’s) departure have a right to do so. But I think you’re going to miss some great television if you do.

When the show made it’s appearance on JAG I wasn’t much of a fan until the second installment when it proved the bottom line wasn’t putting someone in jail just because they looked guilty. I have experience with the real NCIS and know that is what they would desire to have portrayed about them. I was not happy when Kate was killed off, the show stayed on top. I was not happy when Jenn was killed off, the show stayed on top. As long as the writers continue to provide good story lines and the people they bring in are decent actors the show will stay on top.
I do have a gut feeling that 10 years will be the end of the show though, JAG ran for 10 years and the same guy is the “go” behind the show. The good news is that the show will still be #1, the bad news is that the show, if it does leave the air after 10 years will leave a gigantic hole in TV entertainment.

I think this is a US page and the most posters are americans, i’m german and it’s wondering for me that i read so much, she leave and done. It look like, whatever it’s not my problem, even when this person leave after 8 years. And her quit is nothing as normal. CBS change the mind every second. What they say it will be change next day and for most people it’s normal. Whats going on with the country of free? Where are all your fighters? Believe you in all what you get?

I have to say that I am no longer interested in NCIS. There is so much other good tv out there and I’m gone as a viewer. Nothing against any of the other actors but 10 years is a long time and I think they happened to hit a high point in season 3 and hit a peak again in season 10. To me it’s now over.

I will no longer be watching NCIS and not because of Ziva leaving but because of the stupid battle going on between CBS & Time Warner, Can’t even watch it online because CBS is punishing those that have Time Warner as their internet provider. They’re acting like 3 year olds.

Maybe she does not investigate the case? Maybe she is off doing something else and that will be part of the episode… creating drama over nothing. I still am sad she is going, and i do not fully believe that she wanted the leave the show for good. Maybe just take a backseat or something so she does the show but also has time to spend with family…. the fact that they are adding Bishop (who is exactly like Ziva if you read her character description) tell me that CBS are scared for whats going to happen without Ziva. but are too afraid to admit it.
Cote has said in many interviews that she was looking forward to season 11 and Tiva, and now she quits? not right in my eyes but we shall see what happens…maybe she can guest star and if she does not…than you know CBS want nothing more to do with her some reason or another.
Speculations, but…yh.

creating drama where there doesn’t need to be any? she’s still listed as a star and there have been plenty of synopses where her character hasn’t been named before….it’s not a big deal…
Besides that the actual finale had little to do with her so the premiere doesn’t need to focus on her

As Anne has said, NCIS wasn’t all about one character. If you are true NCIS fans you will go with the move to another character and still support the other actors in their roles. It takes more than 1 actor to make a television show rate as high as it does. Cote wouldn’t want you to stop watching because of her. Things change in real life like this, and this is only a television show. I am looking forward to season 11 to see what they have on offer. Season 12 will bring in a permanent new cast member and i look forward to seeing how that works out.

I enjoyed Ziva being on the show and have nothing against the character, she was an integral part of the show for 8 years. But she is leaving and things move on. For me the show is about the whole ensemble cast and not just one person. Having read the latest interview with Gary Glasberg I am really looking forward to seeing what direction they take the show and the characters. If people feel that they can no longer watch then that is their prerogative and I wouldn’t dream of trying to persuade them otherwise. For me, I’ve invested 10 years of my life in NCIS and I’m excited to stick with it and see where the roller coaster ride goes.

Me neither- can’t say I’m interested in the storyline, knowing that Ziva will barely be featured and then ep 2 is her last. I may or may not watch, which is crazy, considering that I’ve been a die-hard fan of the show for 4 years and have yet to not watch an ep on the night it came out. CBS has ruined NCIS for me by taking away an integral character, and they won’t lure me back by promising lots of guest stars, strange plot twists, and new characters that I don’t care about.

actually the question was – What are you the most excited to see in the season premiere?
Not are you interested…so the point of the ziva/tiva fans who are part of the ditzy ‘campaign’ chiming in with a ‘we can’t bear to watch without our girl’ has gotten to the point where it’s eye-rolling and just drama queens looking for attention
