‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: More on Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, and the premiere

Without giving too many story spoilers away, let’s start this “Glee” season 5 article with the following: If you like Kurt and Blaine, you’re going to enjoy the show’s September 26 premiere. We’re not saying that the two get engaged, but based on all of the latest evidence that we are seeing, they are at least going to have a significant part in the story.

You have likely heard the news already that Chris Colfer and Darren Criss are going to be performing a duet in this episode, and it will hopefully go down as one of the greater ones in the history of the show. But will just another song-and-dance be enough to actually keep this two together? That is where some drama actually could come into play.

The two are still going to be apart until Blaine graduates, and that is assuming that he is going to move to New York City right away. Is this really a risk that Kurt is going to take given how it didn’t really work out last time? There is also the issue still of him working on his dreams, while Blaine is just working on finishing high school. It can make conversation both difficult and intimidating.

Basically, we can confirm that Blaine will have a featured role in at least two songs during the episode, and could feasibly be involved in more. Also, these two guys are not the only “Glee” pairing that is going to have a moment during this Beatles-themed hour.

This episode airs on Fox on Thursday, September 26, and it will effectively be a two-parter since there is another Beatles tribute airing the following week that is meant to go hand-in-hand with it. It is this episode that will feature the arrival of Demi Lovato, one of the biggest guest stars for this season.
