‘The Bachelor’: Gia Allemand dead after alleged suicide attempt; Jake Pavelka, more react
There are often jokes about “The Bachelor” being a collective family despite what season you are on, but there is a lot of truth to that, and it can serve as a comfort during trying times. No one else can fully understand the experience you went through filming the show, and it creates a bond that cannot be broken. This is why the reactions coming out now following the stunning death of former contestant and two-time “Bachelor Pad” participant Gia Allemand are important; even though some of these people may not have known her personally, they still support one other through a life-long bond.
The reactions from members of “The Bachelor” family are below, but first an update. Gia’s publicist has released the following statement, saying that Gia had attempted suicide:
“While in her residency in New Orleans on Monday night, Ms. Allemand was found by her boyfriend, NBA Basketball Player Ryan Anderson, following an apparent suicide attempt.
“Mr. Anderson contacted 911 and emergency medical crews were immediately dispatched to the scene. Tuesday, Ms. Allemand remained in the hospital unconscious in critical condition and on life support.”
Jake Pavelka – “I had to pull over, I can’t stop crying. We have lost an angel. I am in complete shock and devastated to hear the news about Gia. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. And a very dear friend. My heart goes out to her family during this very difficult time.”
Vienna Girardi – “Gia you are my angel! You changed so many lives with your beautiful soul and will be missed and loved forever.”
Wes Hayden – “I will miss you Gia, you were an awesome woman and I thank God I got to be part of your life if only for a little while.”
Erica Rose – “I’m in shock and disbelief to hear the news about @GiaAllemand padding. She is truly an angel and will be forever missed by #bachelornation”
Sean Lowe – “My prayers go out to @GiaAllemand ‘s family during this time. Life on earth is but a vapor and she’s with our Lord now.”
Desiree Hartsock – “So incredibly sad to hear the news. Love and prayers go out to Gia’s family and friends.”
Juan Pablo Galavis – “Very SAD to hear the NEWS on @GiaAllemand… RIP and PRAYERS to the family…”
Gia finished in third place on Pavelka’s season of “The Bachelor,” and had a brief romance with Hayden following the first “Bachelor Pad.” She then voluntarily withdrew from the second season of the show.
