‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Recent ‘Chicago Fire’ actress signs up
It’s time to add yet another name to the “NCIS” roster, though this one is for the first episode of the series following the exit of one of the stars in Cote de Pablo.
In a new post on Twitter, actress Teri Reeves (otherwise known for her roles on “Chicago Fire” and interestingly the “NCIS: Los Angeles” spin-off show) has signed up to play a part in “Under the Radar,” the third episode of this upcoming season. For those of you on Ziva Watch, this is the first full hour of television following the exit of Cote de Pablo.
News about Reeves’ character is still under wraps, but some of the casting out there already suggests that she is not going to play any sort of fill-in or replacement to Ziva. She instead just has the challenge of being a part of an episode that will overall hope to establish more of the show’s tone as a whole. There is little debate that the third and fourth episodes of season 11 are going to be imperative if you want to keep the Ziva fans around, and you have to ensure that the story is still exciting and the other characters have plenty to do. “NCIS” is more than capable of pulling it off; after all, remember that Cote did not even arrive on the scene until a couple of seasons in.
We already know that Ziva will not die, but outside of that, the show’s executive producers are probably waiting to say much more about the rest of the upcoming season until they have this exit over with, and they can focus on the rest of the episodes ahead.
The new “NCIS” premieres on CBS on Tuesday, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
