‘CSI’ season 14 spoilers: John Ratzenberger reunites with Ted Danson
How is this for a “Cheers” reunion? While “CSI” is hardly in any way similar to the show that Ted Danson and John Ratzenberger previously worked on so many years ago, it’s still going to be nice to see the two actors working together on-screen again after so many years.
Sources have confirmed that Ratzenberger, who is also known these days for voicing a character in pretty much every single Pixar movie out there, has been cast to play a jaded club owner who ends up having to spend some time with Danson’s character when his establishment becomes a setting for some pretty terrible things. We’re not saying that John’s character is “the guy” responsible for the crime, but we’re sure that he will face some tough questions.
This is turning out to be quite an exciting time for Ratzenberger when it comes to the guest-casting circuit, as he is also appearing on an upcoming episodes of Fox’s “Bones” as part of a couple that Booth and Brennan meet at a couples’ retreat. We’d love to see him in another comedy at some point, or take on a full-time role in a USA drama (which would match some of his sensibility perfectly); we’ll just have to see what comes up for him.
Meanwhile, the new season of “CSI” will be premiering on CBS on Wednesday, October 2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, as its premiere will be scaled back a week thanks to “Criminal Minds” starting things off with a two-hour episode.
