‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Some early hype on premiere
The past few days, it has been all quiet within the world of “The Vampire Diaries.” So what’s the reason for that? Think along the lines of filming, too many people shooting shirtless scenes (we assume) and dealing with ghosts and bloodsuckers to really consider handing out much in the way of scoop to the press. Also, it helps the show that they film in Atlanta. There is less of an active audience out there of people who are willing to stalk them on set.
Luckily, we do at least have a tease from the show’s executive producer that there is quite a bit to look forward to here. Just take a look, per her Twitter, at what Julie Plec had to say:
“Saw the first ep of #TVDS5. So fresh and fun. Everyone brought their A-game. It’s gonna be a great season.”
Yes, we realize that you can make an extremely compelling argument that Plec, as the executive producer of the show, is of course going to say that he show is awesome. Then again, she could of course just stay quiet and not say anything, and we really don’t think it would impact the ratings much either way. We’re excited for season 5, mostly because it feels like the affair with the Originals is over, and the show can get back to some more of the basics: The love triangle, what’s happening with Bonnie, and whether or not Caroline can ever figure out her life.
What do you think should happen on this premiere, at least when it comes to Silas and the relationship between Elena and Damon? As per always, we do want to hear some of your thoughts below!
