ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: New insight into Castle – Beckett engagement
Will Beckett just go ahead and say yes to Castle’s proposal already? If we were inside the head of most “Castle” fans around the country right now, we imagine that this is what they are saying. It’s been a long five years of waiting, including four of those of the “will they or won’t they? variety. The longer that fans continue to wait, the more inclined they are going to be to slowly drive themselves up the wall wondering why there’s not more progress happening.
Regardless of whether or not Stana Katic’s character says yes during the show’s season 6 premiere on Monday, September 23, we still expect there to be some movement for the couple towards their future. While we can’t tell you whether she says yes, Seamus Dever offers up a tease to E! News about some of what is going through the Beckett character’s mind as she prepares to figure out what she wants to do:
“I think she is going to search deep into her heart and I think she is going to consider all her possibilities and she’s going to do what’s best for Beckett.”
Career wise, what is best for Beckett is to be in Washington DC. We don’t mean to say that in a dismissive manner towards everything that she has going on in New York City with the precinct, but let’s really be honest here: One job clearly has more exciting possibilities attached to it, and also way more in the way of financial benefits. There are opportunities to also advance within the NYPD, but they haven’t been offered to her.
We are going to have more on the Castle / Beckett engagement in the weeks ahead; for now, click here in you want to see the first promo for the new season, which flashes back to some of the key moments in the couple’s life over the years.

I take extreme issue with this statement: “There are opportunities to also advance within the NYPD, but they haven’t been offered to her.” Um… first off, those opportunities are individual based. I’ve yet to see a TV show that will jump standard NYPD promotion tests for the sake of character development. Why don’t you hacks go do some honest research before throwing your stupid, fan-worrying crap theories out there. Beckett has never SOUGHT the opportunity to advance. She herself said she wasn’t interested. Or did you forget that? Your site serves one purpose and one purpose only — TO DRIVE FANS CRAZY. The fans would be fine without you throwing gasoline on the fire.
Whoa whoa whoa

Yikes, Taylor. Yes, this site (and others) drive traffic by discussing the unanswered Castle questions, but I think the show has covered enough wacky and outrageous storylines to justify Beckett being considered for a decent job in D.C. *or* within NYPD. She is an ambitious person, even if she’s complained about the FBI before or hasn’t sought upward mobility. With the cases she’s covered, before and after meeting Castle, it stands to reason that she would be logically be considered.
