‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: How is Kalinda set to feel?

When “The Good Wife” season 5 premieres on CBS on September 29, there is going to be more than just a number of high-profile guest stars (which we have on just about every season); we’re also going to be seeing a completely new dynamic when it comes to a number of the show’s main characters. Alicia and Cary have themselves a new law firm to call their home, and not everyone is going to be particularly happy about the way in which that they went about things.

In an interview with TV Guide, series co-creator Robert King explained that we are going to see Kalinda in a pretty vulnerable spot when the show starts, and much of that is thanks to what Alicia may have neglected to tell her about her big decision:

“Kalinda feels a little betrayed that she didn’t know Alicia was leaving. There’s a real tension there about the fact that Kalinda feels a little bit abandoned.”

Could this be what ultimately brings Kalinda a little by closer to Juliet Rylance? This is the new love interest for the character this year, and it should serve as a pretty nice 180 to what we saw previously with Nick (with was really something rather awful that we would be okay with never seeing or hearing about again). Kalinda is a huge part of the show still, and even though there are going to be separate firms, get ready to see her in the spotlight almost as much as the leading lady.
