‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Paul Wesley shines in epic Comic-Con video
While we will have more specific pieces of scoop soon from the “Vampire Diaries” panel at Comic-Con, what we want to do now is show off the first official video clip! This is a sizzle reel that looks to provide some scoop on the season, though for the first few minutes of it there is really nothing in here at all that will feel new to you.
Instead, it serves mostly as a nice little recap of the entire first four seasons of the show, which starts with Elena as an innocent girl and ending with her as a vampire who has finally gotten control once again on her humanity. Not only that, but her feelings are now there for Damon more so than they are for Stefan.
Paul Wesley’s character actually feels like more of a star here than Ian Somerhalder’s Damon, but there is a pretty good reasons for that given the set-up for the show’s fifth season, which is the arrival of Silas’ true form, otherwise known as the “shadow self” to Stefan. He is going try and use those similarities to his advantage, and we will be seeing that courtesy of a scene of him standing before the Mystic Falls Town Square, making a few not-so-humble demands and testing the full extent of his power.
What do you think about this video, and does this make you excited to see what sort of craziness Stefan could be up to the rest of the season? If you want to check out some more news on “The Originals” via its Comic-Con panel today, just be sure to click here.
