‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10: First look at Patrick Dempsey, more at table read

Grey's AnatomyMonday marked the beginning of the 10th season of “Grey’s Anatomy,” at least in terms of the actors being at the studio. (The writers have been hard at work for some time now.)

So what better way to kick things off than with a lively table read? This is the tradition with any show as they prepare for shooting, and this Twitter post from executive producer Shonda Rhimes shows Patrick Dempsey and some other actors hard at work on making the early episodes of the season into a success. (Actually, it looks like Dempsey is having a pretty intense discussion, complete with hand gestures.)

We’ve heard rumors now about the first two episodes possibly being a two-parter that pushes the premiere of “Scandal” back at week, but this has not been confirmed. All we know is that firefighters are going to be involved somehow as characters in these two episodes, so there is probably either going to be some sort of emergency at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital that requires their assistance, or they are coming in from elsewhere after suffering some sort of brutal injuries.

Strangely, there is no announced premiere date just yet for the new season, but we would be shocked if there are no firm release dates for this or many other ABC shows prior to the start of Comic-Con in San Diego on Thursday (where many of the network’s programs, though not this one, will appear.)

Does this make you even more stoked to see some of what is coming up for “Grey’s Anatomy” season 10? If you want to check out some more news all about Jessica Capshaw’s own Twitter hype, just be sure to visit the link here.
