‘Suits’ season 3 premiere spoilers: Louis Litt and the great office meltdown

Sometimes, “Suits” seems to realize that less really can be more. This is why one of our favorite storylines of the USA series’ upcoming season 3 premiere is actually something that is very much a B-story: Louis Litt’s freakout over having the right kind of office supplies, and not just something that drives him up the wall, but also seems to drive him to a state of insanity.

The panic attack begins with the rampage that you see in the video below, but we know from watching the premiere that it goes far beyond that. The showdown that happens for Rick Hoffman’s character here almost feels like an old Western standoff, except with fancier clothes and air condition thrown into the mix. There are motivations behind just about every move that some of these characters make, and for Louis, one of his biggest downfalls from time to time is that he fails to make himself completely self-aware that other people may have the same sort of motives that he does.

Given that we love almost all things Louis Litt, we can really only hope for more of this the rest of the season. We’re of the belief that as a whole, the premiere episode is the show’s strongest way to start the season yet, and in between Rachel knowing the truth about Mike and some of the other news relating to Harvey’s new case involving the merger, we are in for plenty of top-notch USA drama.
