NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Hear a preview of Danielle Bradbery’s ‘The Heart of Dixie’
As we’ve said previously, Danielle Bradbery is already getting the opportunity to launch her debut single this month, which is by all standards an extremely quick turnaround from her time on NBC’s “The Voice.” Basically, almost any singing-competition winner would want to get music out there so quickly, at least so long as quality was not sacrificed in the process.
So what is the trade-off here, and is Danielle’s “The Heart of Dixie” a great song despite coming out so quickly? All we have for you today is just a short preview of the track, but it definitely doesn’t sound like something that was put together in a short amount of time. It has a very familiar country-pop sound, and the lyrics and storytelling are pretty much just what you would expect to hear within the genre.
Therefore, you have to consider this song in many ways to be a reflection of everything Danielle did on the show: She did not necessarily take any enormous risks when it came to her song choices, but she at the same time also didn’t need to. She and Blake Shelton knew the sort of music that her fans wanted to hear, and so they stuck with this and catered to them. Obviously it worked, given that she is here getting an opportunity to truly launch her career in a big way.
What do you think about Danielle’s song, and are you impressed that her Big Machine team has managed to get something of such quality out in a short amount of time? I will by it and continue to support this wonderful artist. Remember,
she is only 16 years old and this has all occurred within the last 6 months
or so. Have her back here people. She is wonderful and only get even better.

“The first time I heard this song I thought about the emotions in it. For me, Dixie’s story is about inspiration … it is so honest. People of all ages and backgrounds supported me on The Voice and I love that this song shows how we can have the same feelings through different experiences, no matter where we are in life.” -Danielle Bradbery
