‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Naya Rivera, Dot-Marie Jones discuss future

BeisteAs if hearing about the departures of Heather Morris, Harry Shum Jr., Amber Riley, and Mark Salling was not bad enough, we now have this: It is possible that Coach Beiste may or may not be a part of “Glee” season 5. Dot-Marie Jones’ character was a key part of the past three seasons; not only that, but she is a two-time Emmy nominee that has completely owned every scene that she is a part of.

Speaking in a new interview with E! News, Jones explained that she is still actually waiting to figure out whether or not Ryan Murphy will ask her back for another arc; if he does, though, she certainly sounds game to give it a go and tackle the material again:

“I’m still waiting to see if I’m coming back to Glee … I pray to God I am! It’s the best job I’ve had in my life. I’m thankful every day [for my job on Glee]. I mean, this is my 23rd year in the business and, and then to have two nominations for an Emmy the past two years? It’s surreal.”

As for another actor in Naya Rivera, she confirmed (even though it was already a given) at the BET Awards that she would be back for more on the show; in addition to that, she also made her specific dreams for Santana clear:

“I’ve been saying for a while that I thought when we come back for season five, I would love to explore Santana as this independent adult living in this new city and what that means for her love life and all that good stuff.”

What do you think: Do you need some more Beiste in your life for “Glee” season 5? Please join us in the chorus of saying “yes” below! Also, head over here to check out some good news about Jayma Mays still coming back on the show as Emma in the new season.
